Bogota's history
The cultures of chibcha and múisca were the ones that extend around the places we know as Bogota Tunja Iraca Tundama Y Guaneta. Bogota was found by Gonzalo Jimenez de Quesada that was a Spanish general that was in charge of searching for the famous Dorado that was why the people was interested In America. The general and his army were so ambitious for the gold that they murdered anyone that interrupts there search for gold. Bogotá was founded the 6 of august of 1538.
When they murder the leader in the region of Bogota Gonzalo Jimenez de Quesada founded a little set of houses that were establish with the purpose of creating a stable government in the place. Bogota was raised in the place we know as Teusaquillo probably because for the abundance of water trees and the protection of the wind that offered monsserrate and Guadalupe.
This army never found the place were the Dorado was so they continued with the labor of conquering and enslaving the natives, forms that the Spanish do to enslaved was the religion and the highly advanced technology the Spanish had in that period of time so we all this factors Bogotá was raised. Bogota finally become a independent state in July 20 of 1810.
Now at days one of the prooves that give us an idea of how that time was is the downtown of bogota places where is the remains of our cuture here we can apreciate as the palace of justice where the sumpreme court works and also we can apreciate de Catedarl primada that is great church. Also we can apreciatte the national caitol.
