Festivals and Events

There are many festivals and events celebrated in Bogota, most of them are in the biggest park of Bogotá the "Simon Bolivar" or in the Stadium. There are more events in the park and in here there are many events like concerts of famous bands like Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica or annual events like "Rock al parque, Opera al parque, Jazz al parque, Hip hop al parque and Festival de verano".

There is another event that is from one of the most popular broadcasting station "La mega", this event is known as the "Megafest" and is from Saturday to Sunday. The tickets are free but you have to win them with contests from the station, also in events where the broadcaster goes and just decides to giveaway tickets just because she or he wants. The event is for 14+ and the event starts at 11:00AM.

This event was invented one year ago. The event has many stages and some of them are divided by music gender but mostly the stafes are for the common gender of reggaeton that is the the music that everybody come for. some of the artist that come to the festival were "Alkilados","Fanny Lu", "Dragon y Caballero", "The mills", "Pasabordo" and many more. The 2 main organisator of this festival are Movistar and "RCN" broadcasting station.  

There are 2 important stages that are called Main Stage that is very common in almost any event and the "Electronica" stage. The first one is a stage that is more centered in the recognized artists of the country Colombia and the second one is for the people that do not like that type of music that is called reggeaton: some of the artists that were at the second stage were: DJ vanch, Santiago Mutis, DJ tusso, DJ fist. This is a great event to be at because have a big variety of artist and like many other events you also are going to have a good time with your family and the best part of it is that it is free so come and have as much fun as you can. Also if you don’t like the loud music and you just want to relax and hear background music there are green zones where to do that.
